1. Calypso is the daughter of Atlas the Titan who is the guardian of the earth because as punishment for fighting against the gods in the Titan War he has to hold up the sky. Her mother is Thymus a queen sea nymph.

2.Calypso is known as being a lovely seductress and also sweet and kind because she takes in the heroes and nurses them to back to health. They are the people who call her sweet. Odysseus was one of the heroes she nursed and washed up on her island.

3.Calypso was cursed because she supported her father, Atlas, in the titan war. She was cursed on the island Ogygia and would have men she couldn’t help but fall in love with wash up on her island. The men who washed up would never be able to stay with her.

4. Calypso is the queen nymph and queen of Ogygia which is the island that imprisons her that is found on the Mediterranean sea

5. Calypso had two children on Ogygia with Odysseus named Nausithoos and Nausinoos who were born during the seven years that Odysseus was on Calypsos island.

6. Calypso's symbol is a dolphin because it represents knowledge of the ocean.

7.Calypso's way to persuade men to staying on her island is by offering them immortality. One of the people she did this to was Odysseus, and even though he was offered he still refused.

8. Calypso is a nymph which is a mythological spirit of nature that is a beautiful maiden dwelling in mountains, forests, trees, and water.

9.Calypso used her seductress powers and kept Odysseus away from his wife Penelope for 7 years.

I chose the blue water text because calypso is the goddess of the sea. I chose the softer music because she is a romantic goddess.
